VFX Production Tracker
Bidding and production tracking for visual effects, with live data from ShotGrid.
A VFX producer needs to know, shot by shot, whether the work is coming in on bid. This app brings an earlier FileMaker Pro version to the web and connects it to ShotGrid (now Flow), where the artists’ time and versions are already recorded.
Each shot or asset carries a breakdown of bid tasks, priced from a rate card. Time logged in ShotGrid is pulled across and set against the bid, so cost, spend, bid against actual and the latest version are worked out as the production goes along.
It was built in close collaboration with its user: feedback is left on any page, in the app itself, and each round is worked through and marked resolved there, so every change can be traced back to the request behind it.
